The gallery shows a selection of the books and magazines, some of which I have either written or contributed to:

  • ‘War Walks on the Home Front’ is an ambitious series of local historical walks. I have always been a great collector and lover of history and the countryside.  The idea of the series combines all three.  Each walk through a part of Shropshire allows participants to discover intriguing local stories connected to First World War history. The Wilfred Owen leaflet depicts buttercups as he transplanted these from the Severn’s meadows to the Western front. More walks are planned for 2016.
  • The Railway Magazine is the August 2014 centenary edition commemorating the outbreak of war.
  • Farmers Weekly includes the article about the origin of the First World War tank, entitled ‘How a tractor gave birth to a tank.”
